Recuerdos de Taos; Two Night Pieces; Dramatic Variations after a Reading of Primo Levi’s Survival in Auschwitz (in memory of Andrew De Grado) Christos Tsitsaros, piano Christos Tsitsaros, Associate Professor of Piano Pedagogy - Tsitsaros has studied piano in Warsaw, Paris, and the United States. His mentors include pianists Jan Ekier, Aldo Ciccolini, György Sebök, and Ian Hobson. The recipient of numerous scholarships and awards, including the concerto competition of Indiana University and the 1992 composition competition of the National Conference on Piano Pedagogy. Tsitsaros has appeared in recitals, chamber music concerts, and as soloist in Europe and the United States. Since 1992 he has developed a continuing relation with Hal Leonard Publishing Corporation and Frederick Harris Music (Canada). His published piano works include The Bike Ride, Blackbirds at Ueno, Autumn Sketches, Cinderella Suite, Nine Tales, and Songs and Dances. He is a contributing author to the Hal Leonard Student Piano Library. A CD recording of his original piano music is available under the Centaur label. In addition, he has participated as a performer and lecturer for the Illinois State Music Teachers Association and the National Conference on Piano Pedagogy.
