  • Christian Chamorel, piano
    Born in 1979 in Lausanne, Switzerland, Christian Chamorel has lately taken his place as a reputed soloist and chamber musician on the international scene. After achieving his first musical training at the Lausanne Conservatoire, he went on studying at the Munich Musikhochschule under Gerhard Oppitz and simultaneously obtained, in 2004, the Soloist Diploma, as well as diplomas for Chamber music and Lied accompaniment. In May 2006, he obtained the Soloist Diploma under Homero Francesch at the Musikhochschule in Zurich. Christian Chamorel has been awarded numerous prizes and scholarships in Switzerland (Leenaards, Kiefer- Hablitzel) and was a prizewinner at international competitions such as the “Maria Canals competition” in Barcelona, the “Konzertgesellschaft competition” in Munich and the “Concorso Internationale Palma d’Oro” in Italy. He also received first prizes at the Geneva Arts Society and the first edition of the international competition “Les Virtuoses du Futur” in Crans-Montana, Switzerland.

Ricardo Odnoposoff was born in Buenos Aires in 1914 of Russian emigrants. He studied with Leopold Auer and Carl Flesch. His career has spanned decades and he has played with all of the great conductors and orchestras of the world in that time. He lives in Vienna today and is still in demand for his violin expertise. The Prokofiev was recorded in 1962 in Cologne and the Tchaikovksy in 1953 in the Netherlands.

  • Youra Guller, piano
    Youra Guller (1895 – 1980) was born of Russian-Romanian heritage. She began her studies at the age of five. She performed in recitals and then enrolled at the Paris Conservatory at the age of nine, where she worked with Isidor Philipp. In the 1940s, she was forced to slow down her activities due to illness and did not resume performing until the 1960s, making her New York debut in 1971.
